Mumbai : The phrase ‘Once Waqf, Always Waqf’ clearly illustrates the horrifying nature of the Waqf Act. A judge of the High Court once made this statement, highlighting the seriousness of the law. The Union Government has taken a step to repeal the Waqf Act. A Joint Parliamentary Committee has been formed for this purpose, and the Government has called on the public to share their views on this law. In this regard, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has launched an online petition, and so far, over 1,25,000 Hindus have demanded the repeal of the ‘Waqf Act, 1995’.
